Pacific Northwest Region Sales Manager

Sev-Rend Corporation is rapidly growing North American packaging solutions firm. We are seeking an experienced, seller to support distributors and close numerous prospects in our Pacific Northwest territory.

Our 26 year old company was built on a solid foundation of custom printed packaging solutions and is rapidly expanding in both geography and product categories. Current customers range throughout North America (Mexico, Canada and the US) in a broad range of commodities. The company is vertically integrated to plastic resins and manufactures retail-ready specialty packaging solutions to packagers.

Our current growth in opportunities exceeds our existing staffing and we seek a well-balanced seller to close identified prospects and hunt the region for additional opportunities. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales experience in the flexible packaging industry, exceptional communication skills and proven sales development experience.

This position will require travel, but will be home based. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements:
• Demonstrated successful 5+ years of flexible packaging sales experience or account management.
• A BA/BS Degree and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel 30%-50%
• A valid US Driver’s License and Passport.

Responsibilities & Duties:
The Pacific Northwest Region Sales Manager will directly lead commercial efforts selling specialty packaging consumables to co-packers including sales, marketing, pricing, and account management. They will manage sales and marketing efforts in the territory by developing strong customer relationships, maintaining an active prospect list and creating follow-up tasks based on customer calling efforts. The primary objective is to drive profitable growth at commodity packagers throughout the territory.
• Establish new business opportunities with potential customers through cold calling, provided leads, networking and referrals.
• Create a pipeline of qualified opportunities and develop strategies to move the opportunities through the sales cycle to closing.
• Work to establish add-on business to maximize product lines with existing customers.
• Work closely with established Distributors to grow sales with joint face to face sales calls.
• Identify and bring on board additional distributors as needed.
• Provide accurate and timely price quotations to customers, prospects and distributors.
• Updating and maintaining CRM systems.
• Participate in annual budgeting process by providing territory sales forecasts and budgeted expenses.
• Participate in industry related associations and trade shows.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SalesForce CRM software and the Sandler Sales Process.
• A work ethic that includes initiative, ability to work independently, sound judgement, diplomacy and discretion.
• Organizational and business skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent prospecting, collaborative, consultative, and innovative skills
• Proven yourself as a tenacious sales person, excellent cold-calling, objection-handling and closing skills.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Member of Sev-Rend’s senior leadership team and will report directly to the CEO.  As Sev-Rend continues to invest into modernization and other operational efficiencies, key responsibilities of this role will be to provide critical insight to senior leadership regarding cost containment and meaningful and timely financial reporting and risk management.  Identifying candidates that possess both technical proficiency in these areas as well as being self-motivated is crucial to the success of this position. The CFO will need to drive performance results while effectively managing staff and business partner relationships.

Responsibilities & Duties

Strategy, Planning and Management

• Act as Chief Financial Officer and strategic and collaborative business partner to senior executive leadership team.
• Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
•Identify, acquire, and implement systems to provide critical financial and operational information to both the Director of Sales and Chief Operating Officer and provide options for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.• Work closely with established Distributors to grow sales with joint face to face sales calls.
• Establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion.
• Implement policies, procedures, and processes as deemed appropriate by Senior Leadership Team.
• Risk Management.
• Provide financial data to Director of Sales and Chief Operating Officer so the management team can review the gross margins by product line and understand the costing of finished goods, including cost accounting for all payroll costs and machinery costs.

Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, cash flow, and KPI’s.
• Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
• Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
• Manage financial planning and analysis. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.

Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations

• Lead the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software.  Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems.
• Ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance, and financial procedures.
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

Financial Management

• Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
• Oversee cash, investments, and asset management area.
• Explore new investment opportunities, analyze potential returns and risks.
• Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.

Financial Relations and Policies

• Engage Senior Management Team to develop short term and long-term plans, projections, and budgets.
• Represent company to banks, institutions, public auditors and officials.

Finance and Accounting Team Management

• Mentor and develop a team, managing work allocation, systems training, and performance evaluations.

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance; MBA preferred; CPA Required
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 5 years as a CFO in a manufacturing company preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Abide by all covenants within company handbook.
• Ability and willingness to travel.

 

Mexico Region Sales Manager

The ideal candidate will have packaging sales experience in the produce industry, exceptional communication skills as well as fluency in Spanish and English.

This position will require travel but will be home based in the Southwestern US. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Blown Film Line Operator

Sev-Rend Corporation, a printing, converting and manufacturing company located in Collinsville, Illinois is looking for an experienced Blown Film Line Operator. The Blown Film Line Operator will operate and maintain a mono-layer blown film line and all auxiliary processes including the extruder, batch blender, scrap reclaim system, chill system, corona treater, in-line slitter and dual rewind system.
